This study investigates the impact of inaccessible civil status documentation (CSD) and housing, land, and property (HLP) documentation on human rights and post-conflict recovery in conflict zones, focusing on Northwest Syria as a case study. The research highlights how the loss or inaccessibility of these essential documents severely undermines individuals' ability to access basic services, exercise their rights, and rebuild their lives after conflict. Without CSD, individuals lack legal identity, restricting their access to education, healthcare, humanitarian aid, and legal remedies. Similarly, the absence of HLP documentation exacerbates housing insecurity, property disputes, and forced displacement, impeding economic stability and post-conflict recovery.
