Education; It is one of the factors that affect the development of an individual in a country and determine his level. The effect of the concept of manpower on human capital emerges with the economic and social development of the individual with a high level of education and skills, and with these effects, the importance given to education has increased. Educational expenditures were given importance by supporting education. In underdeveloped and developing countries, education is given importance in order to increase the development and growth rates. However, the situation in African countries is different. In most African countries, there is a low level of development such as schooling life expectancy. However, when we take the last years as a basis in Africa, investments to increase employment and education and interest in economic growth are increasing rapidly. The main purpose of this study is to compare the expenditures of Turkey and African countries on the education sector. In addition, the economic and human effects of education expenditures were tried to be determined by scanning the relevant field articles. In this context, secondary data were obtained based on the data of the last 10 years of education expenditures from Trademap (2021) and the World Bank (2021), and these data were used. The data obtained in this context were subjected to percentage-frequency analysis, one of the qualitative analysis methods.
