Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy on post-traumatic stress disorder by systematic review method. No field studies or scales were used in this systematic review. Turkish articles were discussed in this systematic review. This research covers conditions in both adults, adolescents and children. This study was carried out in two stages, February 2023 and June 2023. The years of articles examining the effects of cognitive behavioral therapy on post-traumatic stress disorder were accepted as 1993-2023. Two of the three articles that met the exclusion and inclusion criteria appear as content analysis. Three articles reviewed addressed the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy on post-traumatic stress disorder. Cognitive behavioral therapy applied to individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder greatly helps reduce the individual's symptoms.

We can see CBT from the front lines as the most effective method in terms of psychotherapy. It is seen that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, examining the rejected ideas in the mind, reshaping these ideas and supporting the recovery with attitude-oriented techniques will provide beneficial results in the improvement of symptoms.
